Simple answer is to just put lo-res or watermarked images here. But that’s a lot of work :-(

Since your list includes the Guggenheim–while you’re up there, go a few blocks farther north to the Museum of the City of New York (103rd Street and 5th Avenue), which currently has three photography exhibitions: "Legacy: the Preservation of wilderness in New York City Parks" is a collection of superb photographs by Joel Meyerowitz, who I’d never heard of before I saw this, and whose work puts me in mind of Edward Weston (but in color); "The Edge of New York" is a very good selection of images of the waterfront, and "New York 400: Streetscapes" is a good display of photos and other art works. Admission to the Museum is only $10–such a bargain!

Right across the street is the Central Park Conservancy Garden, which offers some nice photographic opportunities.

I want to thank everyone in this group who has commented on my photos. Because flickr is not able to prevent anyone from downloading my full size images to their computer for their own use, I’m going to be leaving flickr. I make prints from my images and sell them in various venues. I really don’t want anyone else to be able to do that with my photographs. So goodbye, this was really fun and I enjoyed looking at the wonderful array of photos as well as receiving comments on mine.
Keep shooting, Neil Reichline

Not possible. This person is frequently booted from Flicker. They simply create a new account with a new name and post to many groups, usually those that are generally "G" rated. Once they posted to every group that had the word "photographers" in the name. New York groups tend to be a common target as well. The best thing to do is go to their photopage and click "report abuse" at the bottom. I know it’s somewhat disgusting, but it won’t hurt you. Flickr often deletes the account within a few hours. It may take as long as a day for the photos to be removed from the groups unless an admin catches them and bans the user before the account is deleted. They are very persistent, but there are many of us who do our due diligence in getting the offender removed. Hopefully they will one day tire. After all, it takes a great deal of effort to subscribe to so many groups and upload the photos. Perhaps they will one day realize that the amount of annoyance they may cause for so brief a time is trivial compared to their efforts.

You should go to Curry Hill, 24th to 28th Street and Lexington Avenue, for lunch. Pick a place with all the yellow cabs in front. You can get a cheap Indian/Pakistani lunch for under 10 dollars and sit elbow to elbow with New Yorkers.

You should check out Not For Tourists NYC 2009

You should also explore Soho and Tribeca
